EVERLASTING CARD AND ROSE QUARTZ LAYOUT by LIZ HOCKING

Hello Bloggers,

Well here in the Southern Hemisphere we are starting to get into our winter months and there is nothing better than keeping warm, cardmaking and of course anything else  paper related.

I trust that you have been using Meg's Garden new collection 'Rose Quartz' and today I have created a layout using some of these beautiful papers, along with an 'everlasting' card.

Firstly the layout which I have named 'Congrats'.  I did some work on the background cardstock and then set to placing this beautiful paper around my photo.

Teamed with Meg's Garden Doiley, charms and amazing lace.
This flower lace, you would have to agree is so divine and a pleasure to use.  With all that now completed here is the finished layout.
Next, I have created an 'Everlasting' card using some of Meg's Garden beautiful collections, which work so well together.  I have tried my hand at making a short video to show the workings of the card and how it unfolds.  It is perfect for using up all your little pieces of 'leftovers'.  You do, however, have to keep your embellishments to a minimum and not too bulky.

Thanks for taking the time to look and don't forget to keep a look out for the next new collection.

4 SPECIALTY CARDS WITH ROSE QUARTZ COLLECTION - by LIZ HOCKING

Hello Bloggers,

Liz here with you today showcasing the wonderful new Rose Quartz Collection from Meg's Garden.
I have used  Rose Quartz Papercrafter pack which is a perfect accompaniment for your cards.
Firstly here is a 'look see' at the 3 cards and following you can see them in more detail.

This collection is well suited to 'specialty' cards and the first one I would like to share with you is my 'arch' card.

A little bit of fussy cutting to set off the printed  paper.

Then teamed with a little metal butterfly from Meg's Garden

Next is a little 'peek-a-boo' card

It certainly is amazing how you can use this wonderful Papercraft pack.  Next is a little triangle card which worked perfectly with some of Meg's Garden lace and flowers.

Finally for you, I have created a 'acetate window' card.  Unfortunately it is a little hard to see that it is a window, but I know you will get the idea.    Petals, leaves and lace  fitted so well in the window.

I hope you have enjoyed today's journey through the Rose Quartz Collection and for more of the collection please visit http://megsgarden.com/
Thanks for taking the time to look and see you next time.....Happy Scrapping......Liz

'CHERISH' and 'CIRCA 1950'

Hello Bloggers,

I hope that you had a really lovely Easter with family and friends and managed some 'Me Time' to catch up on your hobbies.

I had the opportunity to be a little creative with some of Meg's Gardens lovely collections and did a little mixing and matching which worked perfectly.  For my first layout 'Cherish' is have used  'Chantilly Cream' cut and create and 'English Rose Garden'.

Some of Meg's Garden lovely small flowers, doilies, lace and ribbons and a little washi tape for the borders.
The extremely versatile 'cut and create' I backed onto cardstock and then applied Dimensional Magic, which gave the pretty pictures an added lift.

As I had a little extra time, I decided to work with Meg's garden 'Cafe au Lait' collection.  I have used an old family picture of my family  teamed with a little coloured gesso to match.

A little close up of textures used with this wonderful collection.
Well Bloggers I trust that you have been inspired this time to do a little 'mixing and matching' of Meg's Gardens Collection and be sure to keep an eye out for next month's new release.  It is absolutely amazing and I am sure you are going to love it.
Until next time........happy scrapping.......Love Liz

CHANTILLY CREAM PICTURE FRAME by LIZ HOCKING

Hello Bloggers,

I hope that you have been enjoying creating with Meg's Gardens new range?
Today I have teamed up Chantilly Cream 'cut and create' with English Rose Collection to create a delicate frame for a friend.

I have used some of the beautiful flowers and leaves, together with one of the Meg's Gardens square doilies.  I have also made a doily from the lovely paper that is the Chantilly Cream collection.
Some lovely ribbon and a little bit of stitching now that my sewing machine has been repaired.

I hope you have enjoyed the journey today and that I have inspired you to perhaps create something 'off the page'.  Until next time......happy scrapping  .... Liz
