VINTAGE SHADOW BOX for MEG'S GARDEN

Hello Bloggers,

Well it is getting to the end of the year and I am guessing that some of you are not finding the time to partake in your hobby of cardmaking, scrapbooking and papercrafts.  But if you are like me, sometimes we have a quiet moment to work on an item we have had tucked away in our stash.

I came across this glass fronted shadow box that was taking up too much space in my stash and really needed to take pride and place on one of my walls.  So take a seat and a cuppa and hopefully be inspired.

I have used Meg's Garden Collection 'French Garden' and  'Cafe au Lait' .

The French Garden Collection is perfect for making your own special embellishments.  I cut out  a butterfly,  girl and a gorgeous sign, which I have matted on black cardstock and then applied some dimensional magic and this is the result.

Then some more decorations from Meg's Garden, Flowers, metal trinkets and lace.

and then to protect it from dust, closed the glass top and decorated the front with hand made embellishments, lace and lace doily.

Well I hope you have enjoyed this journey and that you have been inspired.  Until next time....happy scrapping....Liz

LITTLE ARTIST and JOURNAL COVERS for MEMORY MAZE

Hello Bloggers,
I trust that your Christmas Celebrations went off well with lots of love of family and friends.  Now that you have time on yours hands, it is time to start being creative once again.
I have created a layout using a couple of photos of my granddaughter.  She recently had her 3yr old Kinder Orientation Day and gosh she did have some fun.

HAPPILY MAKING MEMORIES

I have used the Memory Maze 'My Little Artist' Chipboard which has splashes of Gelatos.  They work really well on your chipboard pieces.
Now for something a little different.  Over the last school holidays, my granddaughter wanted to try some new.  So I had a little journal book sitting around so I thought I would educated her with the use of stencils and Gelatos.   Firstly some Gesso and then Gelatos.
Then she had some fun using all the Memory Maze Stencils.  So many to choose from.....

Then some finger painting and some Kindy Glitz and here is the end result......She now uses her journal to write her stories.

Thanks for looking until next time....happy scrapping.....Liz

SMILE LAYOUT AND MERRY CHRISTMAS CARDS by LIZ HOCKING

Hello Bloggers,
and a warm welcome to you all.
For you this post I have played around with lots of different pieces of Memory Maze Chipboard, to show you how versatile they are.
' SMILE '
I have to admit I had so much fun, cutting and playing around with my pieces.  Firstly, I set about laying my pieces on Kraft card until I was happy with the layout and then glued most of  them in place.
The Arrow Circle frame I did not glue down at this stage, as I wanted to give it a special treatment so it was only placed on the layout.

Then with the other pieces glued down, I gave the whole page a coat of Gesso.
The I worked on the Arrow circle frame with some Inca Gold 'Purple' and some 'orange' and here is how good it looks once polished up....yes don't forget to rub your Inca gold so you achieve that shine.

Then I sprayed the whole layout with various colours of Glimmer mists.
and gave the flourishes a little bit of extra treatment.
and then photo and all the other little extras.

For my Christmas cards, I thought that I would play along with some Memory Maze stencils and my Gelatos which I watered down a little for the background.

Then applied a couple of die cuts and the lovely Memory Maze words ' Merry Christmas'  with some Kindy Glize

and what do you know????  yes a couple of easy christmas cards created.

MY LITTLE CUB....IN 'CAFE AU LAIT' COLLECTION for MEG'S GARDEN

Hello Bloggers,
Liz here for your inspiration.   I am sooooo excited to share with you my latest layout.   I am really excited to be using the new Papercraft Pack collection from Meg's Garden called 'Cafe au Lait'.  I hope you have already checked it out, if not you can view more HERE
I had an old photo of my young son when he first joined 'Cubs', so the first thing I did was reprint it in Black and White, which I feel gave a more striking effect.
Next I attacked some Kraft Card with stamping, and some Glimmer mists to suit the Collection.
Then I had the best fun, cutting up all the papers, along with a Meg's Garden Doily, to create my layout.
Then I covered an old chipboard daisy shape with paper and cut out this cute little typewriter, which can be found in the 'cut and create' sheet.
Now for the finished product..............
I hope you agree with me....that this Collection is wonderful and that the possibilities are endless.
Thanks for taking the time to look..... until next time.....Happy Scrapping

'TODAY' WITH 'LOVE' BY DESIGN TEAM MEMBER LIZ HOCKING

Good Morning Bloggers, I trust this Post finds you all well and busy creating.
I am sharing a couple of layouts for you that I have just loved designing for you.

'TODAY'

I was inspired by some new patterned paper that has just been released, which looked like some that I had in my stash.  So I started with some 'Gesso' and bubble wrap and had a bit of fun with the background.
Now the fun started with some beautiful Memory Maze chipboards, firstly a corner flourish
and then  some 'tribal' boarders.  A coat of 'Gesso' once again
and then some Glimmmer mists, which resulted in this wonderful effect.
I just love working with 'Memory Maze' chippies as they are so versatile and can be cut to fit in with any 'layout' or 'off the page' item you are working on.
Once the chipboards were down, the rest of the layout just fell into place and here it is.
Memory Maze products.

 LOVE

For my next work, I did make create another layout.   I once again cut the flourish chipboard to suit.  A simple inking on the raw chipboard
and this was the effect I was looking for.  Then putting it together with some lovely Bo Bunny patt. paper, die cut flowers and flourish and butterflies and there you have it.

Well I hope you have inspired and don't forget to check out more Memory Maze goodies right HERE.
Until next time.......Happy Scrapping.......Liz
