'CHERISH' and 'CIRCA 1950'

Hello Bloggers,

I hope that you had a really lovely Easter with family and friends and managed some 'Me Time' to catch up on your hobbies.

I had the opportunity to be a little creative with some of Meg's Gardens lovely collections and did a little mixing and matching which worked perfectly.  For my first layout 'Cherish' is have used  'Chantilly Cream' cut and create and 'English Rose Garden'.

Some of Meg's Garden lovely small flowers, doilies, lace and ribbons and a little washi tape for the borders.
The extremely versatile 'cut and create' I backed onto cardstock and then applied Dimensional Magic, which gave the pretty pictures an added lift.

As I had a little extra time, I decided to work with Meg's garden 'Cafe au Lait' collection.  I have used an old family picture of my family  teamed with a little coloured gesso to match.

A little close up of textures used with this wonderful collection.
Well Bloggers I trust that you have been inspired this time to do a little 'mixing and matching' of Meg's Gardens Collection and be sure to keep an eye out for next month's new release.  It is absolutely amazing and I am sure you are going to love it.
Until next time........happy scrapping.......Love Liz

CHANTILLY CREAM PICTURE FRAME by LIZ HOCKING

Hello Bloggers,

I hope that you have been enjoying creating with Meg's Gardens new range?
Today I have teamed up Chantilly Cream 'cut and create' with English Rose Collection to create a delicate frame for a friend.

I have used some of the beautiful flowers and leaves, together with one of the Meg's Gardens square doilies.  I have also made a doily from the lovely paper that is the Chantilly Cream collection.
Some lovely ribbon and a little bit of stitching now that my sewing machine has been repaired.

I hope you have enjoyed the journey today and that I have inspired you to perhaps create something 'off the page'.  Until next time......happy scrapping  .... Liz

VINTAGE SHADOW BOX for MEG'S GARDEN

Hello Bloggers,

Well it is getting to the end of the year and I am guessing that some of you are not finding the time to partake in your hobby of cardmaking, scrapbooking and papercrafts.  But if you are like me, sometimes we have a quiet moment to work on an item we have had tucked away in our stash.

I came across this glass fronted shadow box that was taking up too much space in my stash and really needed to take pride and place on one of my walls.  So take a seat and a cuppa and hopefully be inspired.

I have used Meg's Garden Collection 'French Garden' and  'Cafe au Lait' .

The French Garden Collection is perfect for making your own special embellishments.  I cut out  a butterfly,  girl and a gorgeous sign, which I have matted on black cardstock and then applied some dimensional magic and this is the result.

Then some more decorations from Meg's Garden, Flowers, metal trinkets and lace.

and then to protect it from dust, closed the glass top and decorated the front with hand made embellishments, lace and lace doily.

Well I hope you have enjoyed this journey and that you have been inspired.  Until next time....happy scrapping....Liz

LITTLE ARTIST and JOURNAL COVERS for MEMORY MAZE

Hello Bloggers,
I trust that your Christmas Celebrations went off well with lots of love of family and friends.  Now that you have time on yours hands, it is time to start being creative once again.
I have created a layout using a couple of photos of my granddaughter.  She recently had her 3yr old Kinder Orientation Day and gosh she did have some fun.

HAPPILY MAKING MEMORIES

I have used the Memory Maze 'My Little Artist' Chipboard which has splashes of Gelatos.  They work really well on your chipboard pieces.
Now for something a little different.  Over the last school holidays, my granddaughter wanted to try some new.  So I had a little journal book sitting around so I thought I would educated her with the use of stencils and Gelatos.   Firstly some Gesso and then Gelatos.
Then she had some fun using all the Memory Maze Stencils.  So many to choose from.....

Then some finger painting and some Kindy Glitz and here is the end result......She now uses her journal to write her stories.

Thanks for looking until next time....happy scrapping.....Liz

SMILE LAYOUT AND MERRY CHRISTMAS CARDS by LIZ HOCKING

Hello Bloggers,
and a warm welcome to you all.
For you this post I have played around with lots of different pieces of Memory Maze Chipboard, to show you how versatile they are.
' SMILE '
I have to admit I had so much fun, cutting and playing around with my pieces.  Firstly, I set about laying my pieces on Kraft card until I was happy with the layout and then glued most of  them in place.
The Arrow Circle frame I did not glue down at this stage, as I wanted to give it a special treatment so it was only placed on the layout.

Then with the other pieces glued down, I gave the whole page a coat of Gesso.
The I worked on the Arrow circle frame with some Inca Gold 'Purple' and some 'orange' and here is how good it looks once polished up....yes don't forget to rub your Inca gold so you achieve that shine.

Then I sprayed the whole layout with various colours of Glimmer mists.
and gave the flourishes a little bit of extra treatment.
and then photo and all the other little extras.
